The cliché?
This was a moment captured in north California. I always love the sunset over the ocean. I went on a road trip with a dear friend who also loved traveling. We often spontaneously hopped in the car and started driving to somewhere unknown to spend some random weekends. To some people, this sounds crazy, but to the adventurous souls, does this sound familiar? We drove by a random beach and stopped by to enjoy the sunset, which was almost a ritual on our road trips. This was just a random photo but it turned out to be the one I love the most during that whole trip.
It was a little bit chilly after the sun down, but the sky looks absolutely stunning. The beach was quiet, with only a couple of people walking around. I was busy taking pictures of the sunset and the ocean as usual, when this couple walked into my frame with their dog. Not being annoyed for the photo bombing, I gladly captured the moment. You can tell from their body languages, they were trying to keep warm but they enjoyed the sunset so much that they were taking their time. It is just beautiful to see two love birds standing next to each other enjoying the beauty of the nature. They were not cuddling or holding hands, showing they might be married for some time, but they stood very close with their feet pointing to each other, showing they were strongly affectionate and connected. The dog was walking around enjoying the slow pace as part of the family. It was so natural and their presence just gave the soul to this sunset photo.
When you see this picture, I hope you can feel the peace, love, and serenity. After a long day, if you have a chance, please remember to spend some time with your spouse and do something you mutually enjoy. As the book “ the five languages” says, the love jar needs to be refilled. Use his/her language to fill the love jar and treasure your life together.
