Welcome to
Rachel’s blog
To tell you a little bit more about me…
I know what you are thinking…Yes, this is my research in grad school. I won’t hide that I am a scientist, but I do want to say no matter how different things are, you can always find something similar. This is what I did in school for years. I enjoy looking at the zebrafish embryos and taking pictures of these transparent creatures (of course there are lots of techniques to keep them alive but not moving much…). You can see them growing from one fertilized egg into a swimming fish in a week. I used those super fancy Olympics cameras to take the images and use photoshop to overlay different channels. See?! The life of a scientist is not that far away from an artist. A friend of mine used to say, science and art can marry. This is a live example. I will share more stories with you in my blogs, about life, about science, about art. Please feel free to reach out even if you don’t want a photograph session. I genuinely like to make friends, especially like-minded ones. Just shoot me a message. Let’s chat!
